We expect well-written book reviews that will interest other readers.

Some helpful points:

# We do not post reviews that consist of single sentences such as "This book sucks!"

# We do not post reviews the source of which we cannot verify. For this, we write an email back to you. If that email bounces back, your review will not get posted. You may choose not to have your email address displayed with your review, but we must have a valid address that we can write to and confirm your review. Please remember, this is not a commercial site and your email address will never be given to anyone for any reason.

# Please do not give the end of the book away. Try to be subtle in your comments on major twists and turns of the story.

# Students: We are not going to do your homework for you. Don't send your questions disguised as a book review.

# Commenting on other reviews is never a good idea. It tempts people to respond back and that would be very frustrating since everyone can submit only one review per book. Please save your discussions to the "talk literature" area.

# Absolutely no profanity, obscenities, or spiteful remarks! Please do not insult anyone, living or dead.

# Respect the opinions of others. Just use common sense, general etiquette rules will guide you.

# A book review is not the right place to advertise your business or your web-site.

# If you wish to include a picture, an essay, a newspaper article or any other attachment relevant to your review, you can do so by sending them to us in an email. Identify the book and your name, so that we'll know where to put them.

# Don't forget your hearts. They roughly mean:

   I absolutely loved it ~ OR ~ It is a masterpiece ~ OR ~ It just feels like it.

   I quite liked it ~ OR ~ It has its flaws but still a good book ~ OR ~ It just feels like it.

   It took some patience ~ OR ~ Could have been better if... ~ OR ~ It just feels like it.

   I don't see what all the fuss is about ~ OR ~ A pretty lousy book ~ OR ~ It just feels like it.

   Stupid, stupid ~ OR ~ Don't waste your time ~ OR ~ It just feels like it.
